Guangdong Merchants Set Sail for a New Chapter
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, to further support outstanding private enterprises in Guangdong Province in expanding their international vision and developing a global business mindset, from September 9 to 15, 2023, the Guangdong SME Development Promotion Association (referred to as “the Association”) organized a business tour to Malaysia and Indonesia. About 30 member entrepreneurs participated in the “Belt and Road ASEAN Business Tour” to explore opportunities, understand policies, connect resources, and seek business opportunities. It’s the Right Time to Go Overseas, Guangdong Merchants Set Sail for a New Chapter
From September 13 to 14, 2023, Chairman Xie Hong and Deputy Secretary-General Zheng Biquan of the Association visited and exchanged ideas with the Indonesia Wanshida Group. They also held multiple discussions and business meetings with representatives from Indonesian government departments and the Indonesia China Chamber of Commerce.
Visit and Exchange at Batang Wanshida Industrial Park in Indonesia
In recent years, Guangdong Province has continuously promoted high-level opening-up, with numerous Guangdong merchants venturing overseas to expand cooperation fields and models. Wanshida Holdings Limited (referred to as “Wanshida”) also ventured to Indonesia, targeting the China-Indonesia “Two Countries, Twin Parks” project, developing the Batang Wanshida Industrial Park in Indonesia. This park mainly serves investors and companies in manufacturing, high-tech industries, and green and renewable energy sectors, providing tailored entry and operation plans for Chinese enterprises.
During this visit, Chairman Chen Riling of Wanshida had sincere face-to-face exchanges with the delegation members, accompanied them on an in-depth tour of the industrial park, and explained the background of Wanshida’s overseas factory establishment, current development status, local park policies, operating costs, recruitment, tariffs, and shared experiences of setting up factories overseas.

With the reception and accompaniment of relevant officials from the Management Committee of Batang Industrial Park Development Zone (Government Department), Chairman Chen Riling and the “Belt and Road ASEAN Business Tour” delegation had in-depth discussions and exchanges on the park’s investment environment and related policies, industrial complementarities, financial and tax laws, and other fields.
Visit and Exchange with Chinese Enterprises in Jakarta
On September 14, 2023, Chairman Xie Hong and Deputy Secretary-General Zheng Biquan visited the Indonesia marketing center of Wanshida Group. The delegation was received by the Indonesia China Chamber of Commerce, which hosted an on-site exchange meeting. The visit aimed to deeply connect various resources in Southeast Asia, with in-depth exchanges on local parks and enterprises in trade, industrial complementarities, financial and tax laws, and other fields. They jointly explored and provided practical services and decision-making references for enterprises venturing overseas.
