Li Qiang stated that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia and the 70th anniversary of the Bandung Conference. Over 70 years ago, the world was at a historical crossroads. Against the backdrop of a world full of disputes and confrontation, China, Indonesia, and other Asian and African countries gathered in Bandung and formed the Bandung Spirit of unity, friendship, and cooperation, which played a significant role in promoting South-South cooperation and steering the world situation in the right direction. More than 70 years later, the world is once again at an important crossroads. The international situation is complicated by intertwined changes and chaos, with the rise of unilateralism and protectionism and an increase in bullying behavior. The contemporary value of the Bandung Spirit is more prominent than ever. We must follow the general trend of historical progress, adhere to seeking common ground while reserving differences and peaceful coexistence, resolve differences through consultation, and promote win-win results through cooperation, achieving shared development and prosperity.

Li Qiang pointed out that China and Indonesia have always adhered to the Bandung Spirit and carried out comprehensive and pragmatic cooperation. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of the heads of state of the two countries, China-Indonesia cooperation has continued to reach new levels. Bilateral trade has expanded and improved in quality, two-way investment has grown rapidly, major projects have achieved significant results, and the bond of economic and trade cooperation between the two sides has become stronger, benefiting enterprises and people of both countries in a tangible way and injecting more certainty into the world economy.

Li Qiang emphasized that this year, despite increasing external challenges, the Chinese economy has achieved rapid growth, demonstrating strong internal driving force and containing huge potential for incremental development. First, there is the incremental space for demand release. China is currently implementing a strategy to expand domestic demand and conducting special actions to boost consumption. The potential of the super-large-scale market will continue to be unleashed. Second, there is the incremental space empowered by science and technology. China has been making continuous breakthroughs in the field of scientific and technological innovation. Artificial intelligence, robotics, and biomedicine are accelerating the empowerment of various industries, bringing more opportunities for innovation and investment cooperation to enterprises of all countries. Third, there is the incremental space for industrial upgrading. China is vigorously promoting the transformation of the manufacturing industry towards high-end, intelligent, and green development and is expanding overseas investment in an orderly manner. It will work with other countries to enhance the level and efficiency of industrial and supply chains. China is willing to share its incremental development space and opportunities with all countries, including Indonesia, and will unswervingly expand its openness to create a better environment for foreign enterprises to invest and do business in China. It is hoped that the business communities of China and Indonesia will strengthen coordination, take positive actions, expand the cooperation pie, enhance industrial integration, maintain free trade, and promote more fruitful cooperation in various fields between the two countries.

Prabowo said that the relationship between Indonesia and China is one of the most strategic and promising bilateral relationships in the 21st century. The Indonesian side is willing to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese side in the fields of economy and trade, industry, green economy, science and education, and enhance people-to-people exchanges to better achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. Indonesian welcomes continued investment and business activities by Chinese enterprises in Indonesia and is willing to broaden the fields of cooperation. Indonesia highly appreciates the important role China has played in international affairs and is willing to jointly promote the Bandung Spirit with China to maintain peace, stability, and prosperity in the Asian region, safeguard the common interests of developing countries, and uphold international fairness and justice.
