Chen Riling, Chairman of Wanxinda Holdings, attended the Fourth Session of the 13th Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference

On the morning of January 25, Huang Kunming, Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Meng Fanli, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor, and Secretary of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee, and Lin Keqing, Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial CPPCC, met with representatives of overseas Chinese attending the Fourth Session of the 13th Guangdong Provincial CPPCC in Guangzhou. They discussed their hometown, shared their feelings, and planned for future development.

Huang Kunming, Meng Fanli, and Lin Keqing, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government, and the Provincial CPPCC, welcomed the representatives of overseas Chinese attending the Provincial CPPCC meeting and briefly introduced the province’s economic and social development over the past year and during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Huang Kunming said that under the strong leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the Party Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, uniting and leading the people of the province, focused on fulfilling the mission and tasks entrusted by the General Secretary, solidly implemented the “1310” specific deployment, upheld principles and innovated, worked diligently and practically, overcame difficulties, and unswervingly followed the path of high-quality development. This effectively promoted the steady and positive development of the province’s economy, ensured the successful conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan, and took new and solid steps in modernization. Guangdong’s development is inseparable from the support and participation of overseas Chinese, embodying their hard work and wisdom. We express our heartfelt gratitude to overseas Chinese for their long-term and significant contributions. Currently, the entire province is deeply studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions during his inspection of Guangdong and his attendance at the opening ceremony of the 15th National Games. We are planning and promoting the “15th Five-Year Plan” with a sense of responsibility to lead, set an example, and shoulder major responsibilities, striving to create new advantages and achieve new breakthroughs at a new starting point. The overseas Chinese representatives are deeply patriotic and have a strong connection to their hometown. Through long-term development overseas, they have accumulated rich resources in business, intellectual, and personal networks, making them an important force in building a modern new Guangdong. We hope that everyone will take this opportunity of attending the Provincial CPPCC meeting to gain a deeper understanding of the national and provincial conditions, fully leverage their broad vision, international connections, and extensive networks, and offer insightful opinions and practical suggestions for a good start to Guangdong’s “15th Five-Year Plan.” Today, Guangdong boasts abundant innovation vitality, numerous market opportunities, and vast development space, ushering in the best period for investment, business development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and various forms of cooperation. We hope everyone will actively participate in the vast landscape of Guangdong’s high-quality development, focusing on key areas such as the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the mutually reinforcing development of industry and technology, the implementation of the “High-Quality Development Project of 100 Counties, 1000 Towns, and 10,000 Villages,” and the construction of a green and beautiful Guangdong. We encourage everyone to contribute to attracting investment, talent, technology, and expertise, actively promote the development opportunities of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Guangdong to the world, attract more high-quality resources to the Greater Bay Area and Guangdong, vigorously promote the “going global” of Guangdong brands, enterprises, and products, and enhance exchanges and interactions between Guangdong and the countries of residence. We hope everyone will play a greater role in deepening people-to-people connectivity and promoting Sino-foreign cooperation. Guangdong will always be a strong support and warm harbor for everyone working abroad, and will continue to do its best to provide services, continuously improve the policy system for benefiting and supporting overseas Chinese, and better support the development of overseas Chinese and their investment, work, and life in Guangdong.

Representatives of overseas Chinese, including Xia Yang, Zhang Ying, Yu Hua, and Chen Riling, delivered speeches, expressing their gratitude to the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government, and the Provincial CPPCC for their care and concern for overseas Chinese. They highlighted their experiences in deepening exchanges and cooperation between Guangdong and their host countries in multiple fields, and offered suggestions on Guangdong’s development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, based on their work experience and focusing on key issues. They stated that the remarkable progress Guangdong has made in various undertakings during the 14th Five-Year Plan period fills them with pride and encouragement, and they are full of confidence in Guangdong’s future development, feeling that opportunities are limitless and promising. Attending this CPPCC meeting is both a high honor and a weighty responsibility. They will cherish this opportunity, diligently perform their duties, quickly familiarize themselves with the new situations and changes, actively offer suggestions, and contribute their wisdom and strength to Guangdong’s planning and advancement of the 15th Five-Year Plan. They will also participate more deeply in Guangdong’s modernization, increase investment in their hometown, expand cooperation, leverage their advantages to promote Guangdong overseas, especially in their host countries, drive the expansion of friendly exchanges between the people, promote mutual understanding, and strive to make new and greater contributions to Guangdong’s creation of new advantages and breakthroughs.
