The Batang Wanxinda Industrial Park is not only a model for industrial park construction but also a symbol of deepening cooperation between the two countries. Under the guidance of China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Indonesia’s “Global Maritime Fulcrum” vision, the project not only carries great potential for economic cooperation but also shoulders the important mission of promoting the development of China-Indonesia relations.

As the only “Twin Parks” project implemented by a Chinese enterprise in Indonesia, it marks a new stage in the economic cooperation between the two countries. It not only demonstrates the mutually beneficial cooperation of the two countries in the global economic tide but also highlights the long-term vision of the two governments for future win-win cooperation.

Since the signing of the project, the construction of the Batang Wanda Industrial Park has been steadily advancing, with several key milestones already successfully completed. By 2025, the first phase of the park, covering 40.35 hectares of factory buildings, will be smoothly delivered, and the total construction area of 1.08 million square meters will be completed by the end of the year.

Each stage of the project has been a result of the wisdom and hard work of our team. It is these down-to-earth efforts that have driven the park’s continuous progress from planning to construction. At the same time, to further promote China-Indonesia economic cooperation, the park has established a “Corporate Going-Global Service Station” to provide Chinese enterprises with more convenient investment policy consulting services in Indonesia.

The first “Corporate Going-Global Service Station” was inaugurated at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport on December 12, 2024, and the second was officially launched at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport on April 3, 2025. Through these initiatives, we are helping enterprises go global and promoting a closer economic connection between the two countries.

The park’s green design concept has been fully reflected. Through an efficient integration of solar and wind energy, it has not only reduced energy consumption but also laid the foundation for future sustainable development. At the same time, the park’s construction has created a large number of job opportunities, spurred the rise of local service industries, and further improved the overall employment level of the region.

As of March 2025, 13 enterprises have signed agreements to move into the park, with a total investment of approximately US$100 million. This has injected new vitality into the local economy and provided thousands of job opportunities for the surrounding communities. The entry of these enterprises has not only promoted the construction of the industrial chain but also created a good platform for local talent training and technology transfer, further deepening the economic integration between China and Indonesia.

Especially under the strategic context of Indonesian President Joko Widodo positioning the Batang Economic Special Zone as “Jakarta’s Shenzhen,” the future development of the industrial park is full of possibilities.

We believe that the industrial park will flourish under this context, becoming an efficient platform integrating innovation, industrial chains, scientific research, and transnational cooperation. It will further promote economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and Indonesia and become a successful example on the Belt and Road.
